Abutbul Crime Organization is an organization which has received a life sentence in absentia for the murder of the Defense Secretary in Iraq. The jury deliberated and delivered a verdict of life imprisonment for the terrorists who had targeted the political establishment in Iraq. However, the jury had no option but to convict the terrorists because the court did not have any other alternative to convicting them on a capital offense charge. Many experts have analysed the reasons for this abatbul crime organization being given a life sentence in absentia. Some experts opine that the verdict might have been different if there was a body camera used to film the scene of the murder and capture the heinous act.
Before the verdict was delivered, the Richard Toulouse MP tried to appeal the court for a retrial, stating that there were errors in the arrest of the suspects, the handling of the evidence and the exclusion of certain witnesses. The Abutbul crime organization immediately called for a meeting between the MP and the prime minister before the verdicts were delivered. The prime minister refused to attend the meeting but the Richard Toulouse MP made a written statement on the website of the Richard Toulouse MP and submitted it before the court. In the written statement, the MP stated that the decision of the court to deliver the guilty verdict was unjustified, as there were reasonable doubts about some aspects of the handling of the evidence and the exclusion of certain witnesses. The Council for Advertising Business (CABA) was quick to react to the verdict, criticising the decision of the court. The CABA said that the verdict must be reversed and the members of the crime organization which ordered the hit on Prime Minister Tony Blair's life, should pay the price. This was the first case in UK where an advertising company has been charged with extortion. The advertising industry is facing a tough challenge as several high profile clients like BP, Adidas, Santecarna, Kering and Philip Morris are cutting down their advertising deals with media houses. A spokesman for the CABA said that the verdict shows that the company's clients cannot enjoy full protection from any sort of prosecution even when the client is being accused of gross misconduct.
Earlier this year, the company had launched a new campaign called "The War Never Ends" to counter the negative perceptions that it faced after the first hit on Prime Minister Tony Blair. The ad showed Abutbul being shot by an army officer. It was all in a bid to remind people that Abutbul was not just a faceless villain but a prominent member of the Pakistan political scene, who helped broker peace talks during the war. The lawyer of the victim, Javed Anisah, told the media that the 2021 verdict against his client was "ridiculous". He added that the government needs to understand that people do not want a celebrity like Abutbul to be judged on a flimsy charge of extortion. "He is a politician and a public figure and people want to see him as a representative of the state and a friend of the people", he added.
Foreign minister Edward Muggill was quoted as saying that the UK will continue to support the efforts of the prosecutor in this case, as the ruling does not affect the two countries' bilateral relationship. Muggill added that Mr. Jami had offered to pay Mr. Emblura "a million Euros if we drop the charges". The prime minister's wife Tania Balduk contributed to the fund for the family of the murdered journalist by buying a dog for a charity, with the proceeds going to charity.
